~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In February of this year, at the age of 56, Dave Marston began to experience symptoms of imbalance and memory loss.  While friends, family and the community watched his rapid decline with heartbreak, Dave continued to spread music as always, even conducting two major and triumphant choir concerts in early May.  Finally, at UCSF in mid-May, Dave and his loved ones received a confirmed diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rapidly progressing terminal disease with no treatment or cure, which devastates motor and cognitive function alike. WE THANK YOU for your gift of caring, compassion and generosity, and we know that all of us who love Dave are in this journey together.
 At the time his illness began, Dave was providing more than 75% of the income for teenaged daughters Sarah and Rose, and his wife Tami.
Without health insurance and with Dave's very swift and sudden inability to work, the family is facing financial crisis -- responsible for the $24,000 of medical bills, mortgage, household expenses, and school and living costs for Sarah and Rose.
Help is being sought to take care of Dave's medical bills, and the pressing financial needs of the family whose support he always put as his number one priority.
